Development Update:
Our development plans are progressing well. Construction commenced on a new 300 person spectator stand in our second hurling pitch in July and it is hoped it will be finished in time for this Autumn’s Junior B All-Ireland competition.

The second phase of our development includes the construction of an Astro turf pitch incorporating 2 hurling walls and also a walkway around the first pitch with lighting. We are awaiting the outcome of the Sports Capital grants (due to be announced in mid September) to find out if we will receive funding to complete this phase of our development.

The third phase involves the construction of a children’s playground. We are hoping to apply to the CLAR grant program through Limerick City and County Council for funding for the playground this Autumn. There are also a number of smaller developments in train at present, including; boundary fencing around first pitch, relocation of nets behind Camas goals, new doors and windows in dressing rooms (thanks to Airtricity), and relocation of gym from Kantoher into squash courts. A lot happening and hopefully if certain grant applications go our way, it could be a very busy next 12 months.

U6s:
U6 training continues each Saturday at 10am until the end of September

U10 Mick Browne Shield:
Killeedy played off its eagerly awaited Mick Browne shield last Sunday. In the past few years, supporters have witnessed some great matches and this year was no exception.. Four teams Tour/Killeedy, Dromcollogher/Broadford, Feenagh/Kilmeedy and Monagea entered. Monagea and Tour/Killeedy progressed to the final. In very wet conditions, against a well matched opponent, Tour/Killeedy secured the win with the help of two second half goals. Final score was Tour/Killeedy 3-1 Vs Monagea 1-2
